Goal

With Denis's knowledge in substyles of street dance forms like Popping and Hip Hop—and Yamuna's foundation in Contemporary dance, Isamu Fusion strives to create a fusion that highlights mesmerizing patterns and loops, offering visually soothing images.

"Our focus is on intertwining our bodies to create illusionary patterns that resonate with the audience's familiar experiences. The foundation of our approach is rooted in replicating natural patterns that are deeply embedded in the human mind, raising a hypnotic effect."

The natural world is fundamentally composed of patterns—a system that is both recognizable and repeatable, much like a nautilus shell, which displays a perfect Fibonacci spiral. As humans, we have an intrinsic love for recognizing and solving patterns and is also crucial for survival, as it aids in understanding and navigating the world around us.

With Isamu Fusion, we work with this natural impulse, using the predictability of patterns and the innate satisfaction derived from observing them to create art pieces that feel like puzzles waiting to be solved.

Our storytelling hinges on both adhering to and disrupting synchronicity and symmetry. A dance that seeks the perfect balance between predictability and surprise.
