KMSKA x Freestyles Antwerp – Movement and sound in conversation

On 13 February 2025, I performed at KMSKA LAAT in a collaboration with Freestyles Antwerp. Dancers and musicians were brought into the galleries to react directly to the museum's collection and each others artistic expression. It was an intimate, improvised session where the goal was to make movement and sound feel like a natural part of the room.

Working with Joffrey Anane, we built the set as a real-time conversation with musicians Maxim Dereux and Issa Ndour. We stepped away from fixed routines to let the music and the paintings dictate our pace. It was all about the immediate physical response: letting a musical phrase or a piece of art trigger the movement, and seeing how the body reacted in the moment.
